Typometry Font for Mac does add some additional features, but ultimately will add little to most Mac users' systems. Download of Typometry Font for Mac completed fairly quickly via a high-speed Typometry Fontion, as did installation. There were no user instructions or technical support apparently available, which is a disappointment, even for a free program. The program's minimal menu is easy to read, although its default size is small. While the program is active, the menu also sits on top of all other program windows, even those that are active. Drop-down menus allow the user to select the search location and subfolders, and enter name fields. Once initiated, the search completes in a short time and the results can be displayed in a window or in the Finder. In addition to names, files can also be searched by other criteria, including modification date. Unfortunately, most of these features are available in native search programs, or can be located easily in the Finder. While Typometry Font as a basic search program, Typometry Font for Mac doesn't add much beyond what is already covered by programs already on your computer. It may be a matter of preference, but Typometry Font for Mac doesn't seem to offer any notable extras.When determining how space is divided on a hard drive, some, more visual users may want a way to have the information represented graphically, rather than in numbers. While simple and of limited overall use, Typometry Font for Mac is a good option for those
looking for a different way to analyze folder and hard drive space. Download and installation of Typometry Font for Mac completed easily, but it only contained a basic readme file with no dedicated instructions, which was a detriment due to the complex nature of the program and its interface. It was also unclear if technical support existed. The program's main menu allows users to select a folder or drive to analyze. After a short time of analysis, the program brings up a two-dimensional image with different size squares, each representing a file on the computer. Users
can click on each square and press a "reveal" button that tells what it is and brings up a finder window showing its location. This allows the file to be deleted to free up more space. The folder can be rescanned with a click of one easily-identifiable button. For those users who want a different way to view hard drive or folder usage, Typometry Font for Mac performs its stated functions well, despite its limited Typometry Fontity and lack of user direction. Those using Safari may want to add features to the browser for easier use. While Typometry Font for Mac does add some useful features, not everything worked in our test, lessening the app's usefulness. Typometry Font for Mac is available for free as an add-on to Apple's Safari Web browser. The program downloaded and installed easily to the browser, and only required a program restart to take effect. Once installed, the program brings the user to a page containing tutorials and other information on its use. The tutorial was helpful and contained explanations of the different options available. The program does not have any menu of its own, but instead works in the background during Safari browsing. The preferences menu for the add-on has useful options available, including turning on and off images for searches, among other features. You can also change your preferred main search engine. The add-on did not alter the overall speed of the browsing experience. While many of the features worked well during our testing, the one to add thumbnail images to the search results did not function, which was a disappointment. While not everything worked as promised, Typometry Font for Mac may provide enough useful features to appeal to some users who want more from their Safari experience.
